Privacy Policy

Crates Audio is a business of MixedByCrates LLC ("Crates Audio," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use www.cratesaudio.com, our forms, our free tools and our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected].

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name, email address and phone number when you book a call, send an inquiry, unlock a free tool or buy a product.
  • Show and project details: your podcast or brand name, links, RSS feed, release schedule, goals, budget range, timeline and anything else you type into our forms or the Brand Kit Builder.
  • Purchase details: what you bought and when. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages and files: emails, texts and call notes, plus the audio, video, artwork and documents you send us for a project.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our website platform and your browser share basic technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you got here. We may use cookies and similar tools to keep the site and forms working, count visits and, if we run ads, measure them.

How we use it

  • Reply to you, book and run calls, and deliver the products and services you ask for.
  • Send the brand kit, product downloads, receipts and project updates.
  • Follow up about your inquiry and send occasional emails about our services. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Send text messages, only if you opted in (see "Text messages" below).
  • Improve our site, offers and content.
  • Keep records we need for taxes, accounting and the law, and protect against fraud or abuse.

AI tools. We use AI tools to help with transcripts, show notes, clips, research and copy. When you hire us for a project, the content you send may be processed by those tools to do that work. We don't use your private project files to train our own AI models, and we don't publish your content without your permission.

Text messages

If you tick the box to receive texts, we'll text you about your inquiry, booking or purchase, plus tips and updates from Crates Audio.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
  • Texting consent is never a condition of buying anything.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from every kind of sharing described in this policy and are never shared with any third party.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for other companies' advertising.

We share information only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the business, such as our website, CRM, email and texting platform (GoHighLevel), payment processing, scheduling and video calls, file storage, and the production and AI tools we use for client work. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • Collaborators on your project, such as a mix engineer or editor on our team, only as needed to do the work.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
  • A business transfer, if Crates Audio or its assets are sold or reorganized. The new owner would have to honor this policy.

Cookies and Do Not Track

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, like forms and the booking calendar, may not work properly without them. Our site doesn't currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

How long we keep it

We keep contact and inquiry details while we're in touch and for a reasonable time after, so we can follow up or pick up where we left off. We keep purchase and tax records as long as the law requires. Project files are kept for as long as you're a client, plus 90 days after our work together ends, unless we agree otherwise. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below).

Your choices and rights

  • Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Texts: reply STOP.
  • See, fix or delete your information: email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm it's you, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep.

California residents. California law gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, and to ask us to correct or delete it. We don't sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms. Email [email protected] to make a request. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Security

We use reputable platforms, secure connections (HTTPS) and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send passwords or payment details by email or text.

Children

Our site and services are for adults and businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we'll make that clear on the site or by email.
